AS I begin to read
Psalm 37, I believe that God is saying this chapter to us in these last
and evil days we are living in to comfort, strengthen and to empower us in
these days. As I read the 1'st and 2nd verses, it talks about our enemies
and how God will deliver us from our enemies and the end of them. Many
people define enemies as one that hurts us or do us wrong. BUT the
definition of the word ENEMIES is; A person hostile to another; a foe; a
military opponent or anything that injuries one. But we will talk about
enemies a little later and we will find out how God protects us from them.
Now there are powerful, anointed, life words that really brings out this
chapter that the Lord is showing to me right now.
Let
me point them out to you:
Now I believe that
the Lord is saying to us that if we apply these blessed sayings in our
lives and be obedience, we will see comfort and blessing from him. And we
will not be fearful of the enemies which THE LORD is showing us
directionally from these verses. Well the first powerful thing he is
saying to us is FRET NOT which means don't be vexed or irritated; don't be
worry. Fret also means to be agitated or disturbed. How many of you are
disturbed and worry because of mean people or evil doers you know.
Evilness is of the devil, we define it as harmful; wicked; causing or
threatening sorrow; distress, or misfortune. Evil arises from bad
character. It will lessen or destroy happiness or the welfare of another.
It is sin.
Don't try to get
back at your enemies the first verse says. Don't hate them back, because
as the Lord is saying to us is that he will take care of us and we should
leave our enemies in his hand, for their time is at hand according to the
2nd verse. Look at Matthew 5:43 Love your enemies, bless them that curse
you, Do good to them that hate you, and pray for them who despitefully use
you and persecute you.
Look what the Lord
is saying to us in the 3rd verse. Trust in him in these end times. When
your enemies are against you when you need to make decision or when you
are sick or in need. I begin to read God's word and especially all over
the book of Psalms when it tells us to trust in the Lord scripture like
Psalm 40:4,
Proverbs 22:19,
Proverb 28:5, Psalm71:5, Psalm141:8, and 1Timothy 4:10. Trust means to
assure reliance on Gods honesty, fairness friendship and faith. It also
means to have confidence in; and to commit or believe. Well there is a lot
to say on trust be I pray that you are seeing what the lord is showing you
in these verses concerning trust. The blessing goes on in the 3rd verse
which tells you God will take care of you and your needs.
In the 4th verse
it says for us to delight thy self in the Lord. I pray that these
powerful words that the Lord is saying to us that you get you a
concordance and see more scriptures on these word it will bless you.
Delight means get
very great satisfaction; lively pleasure; joy; also to be very greatly
pleased. I tell you if you are obeying the word of God and prayer and the
word you can be delightful. Let us continue to adore and give God praise
in this last hour. No matter what you see going on throughout the world,
lets still give God praise.
Commit thy way
unto the Lord. How many of us is pledge to the Lord or connected or
entrust to the Lord saints we have to be committed and trust in this verse
is like brother and sister, because when you are committed to someone you
have to trust them the 5, and 6 verses gives you the blessing if you
commit.
Rest in the Lord
many of you is so stressed out you are running here and dragging yourself
every where, just rest in the Lord, let him handle the situation. Relax
stand still. Turmoil and destruction is throughout the earth. Wait
patiently for him. Well bless the Lord wait which means serving the Lord
by doing his will and praising him. wait to watch, attend, to remain in
readiness for action. But really that word wait means in this verse is to
act as attendant or servant or to serve God.
Cease from anger,
and forsake wrath; fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. That is the
reason we have to be very careful who we associate with. For evildoers
shall be cut off; but those that wait upon the Lord they shall be safe and
comfort. You know this chapter goes on to talk about our enemies,
evildoer, and the wicked man.
But let us be
obedience to his word and stay in the will of God by loving him and
adoring him and pray for your enemies.
